Week 5- Blog- Cell art & Lit (actually week 5)

I think that the art world has gone so far when it comes to the use of technology. Like really if you think about it you can create some of the best pictures and art right from your own computer, phone or other device. I really enjoyed using some of the manipulation tools though out this semester. The Cloud really interested me and the digital world does too.

The Cloud helped me create an illusion of what my life really is like. It helped me realize what my goals are and what I need to do to meet them. Before this class started I had no idea how much influence the world of technology has on art. We do not make it the way we used to... I am talking beyond just pencil or painting drawing the digital world has made life easier for advertising, marketing, and getting the word out to the world.

I love the way the News uses different tools in order to keep your attention. There was this great commercial one time that just had things jumping out on the screen and there was no way you didn't get the message. It was an advertising for a windshield company. They also had the best audio and visuals to really keep you into the message they wanted to get across. I couldn't keep my eyes off!

The blog bellow should read.... Week 8 Blog.. not week 5

Week 5- Blog- Cell art & lit.. Hans Rosling

Hans Rosling does a wonderful job using technology in order to get in message across. He used many different techniques that really kept me focused and interested throughout his presentation. He used technology to enrich and enlighten his content that he was trying to deliver by being very active and talking a lot. He used very clear diagrams and almost acted like a comedian during his presentation.

The way you can tell that he does such a good job is from the reaction of his audience people are laughing and totally into what he is talking about. His key elements for his technique would be his wide spread ways of acting being calm then jumping up and down anything to keep the eyes on the speaker I guess. He used great animations as well. Multimedia really made his PowerPoint come alive.

After watching this presentation I can take away that it is important not to have to much information on each page. He only has diagrams to keep people focused while he is giving a very good presentation and kind of talking about the subject not reading off a note card. He uses the PowerPoint as his note card and feeds off of what each slide shows.

Week 4 blog

Creative Commons is great because it is founded in the belief that being able to share knowledge works to the advantage of the common good, creating an open atmosphere of sharing. It is a superb alternative to copyrights because it lets owners of copyrights release some of their rights while maintaining other rights, in the name of sharing intellectual information.

Sharing is something that I think everyone should practice doing more. Just like these examples in the articles we had to read. Sharing is a huge part of life and sometimes as Americans we don't do that good of a job!

I find this an excellent solution because there is no longer the "I own it, so the public can't have it" problem.

Week 11 - Talk about podcasting

Pod casting was really fun and interesting for me. I really enjoyed playing around with pod casting. I think it is super cool that you can listen o anything you want like sports channels, news, weather, and much much more right over your Ipod or listening device. I never really knew what pod casting was until now! My Ipod has always had a section under the scroll menu for listening to pod casts and I had no idea what this was for. Now I regularly download new types of pod casts on news, sports, and mainly informational things.

The same day that I started doing my pod casting assignments both of my parents were also discovering it for the first time. They started influencing me on the assignment and before the night was over everyone in the house was an expert on pod casting. Very interesting and helpful device. I plan on listening to pod casts for a very long time!

Week 12 Blog!

Today with the abundance of opportunities available online, it is easier to reach people who want something besides what mainstream has to offer, making it easier as an entrepreneur to reach a target audience. I intend to own my own business someday, and I am confident that with the right idea, I will, thanks to modern online marketing not ever have to go searing for population who wants to buy my product, because consumers will be using the Internet to find my product instead. This is what makes a world of difference because of today's marketing technology. There is a market of people out there looking for exactly what we have to sell, so we no longer have to carter to the mainstream.
